On 12 May 2017, the Hungarian Dental Association signed a collaboration agreement with the Israeli Dental Association, opening the way for extended scientific and professional exchange between the two countries.
The popular annual scientific conference Perspectives in Perio-Implantology and Comprehensive Dentistry attracted nearly six hundred visitors from all over the globe to Szeged in May this year. The organizing Hungarian Dental Association and its president, Professor Katalin Nagy, vice-rector for foreign affairs at the University of Szeged was pleased to have the company of a noble delegation from Israel in Szeged for the occasion: a general agreement of collaboration was signed between the Hungarian and Israeli Dental Associations on the festive gala dinner of the conference. Dr. Haim Neuman, chairman, Dr. Eliezer Solomon vice chairman and Dr. Meir Adut, president of the Israeli Periodontal Society were all present for the event that has paved the way towards an extended and fruitful future flow of intellectual capital.
The agreement, signed by the vice-chairmen of the societies opens up possibilities for study exchanges for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of dentistry as well as dental faculty members, for collaboration in the organization of scientific forums, and for joint activities to promote oral health. May this be a gate that was opened between two countries that have enormous amounts of cultural capital to share with each other.
